There’s also the AT mobile app which you can use on a phone, but today let’s use the journey planner to work out how you could take public transport to school on a normal weekday. I know that not all schools have public transport options so you can choose another destination.

- Click here for the AT journey planner
- Type your home address in the ‘Starting point / Wāhi tīmata’ box
- Type your school address (or wherever you're off to) in the ‘Destination / Haerenga’ box
- Select the ‘public transport’ button
- Select the ‘leaving now’ box and select ‘arrive by’
- Select the time you need to arrive by
- Choose a journey from the options and select view ‘details’
